We strive to improve patients' lives with innovative diagnostic means to fully understand the secrets of the microbiome and its impact on human health with the goal to better inform precision medicine, targeted therapies and how to lead a healthy life.
We are looking for motivated students to support our interdisciplinary microbiome project.
You primary tasks will be at the interface of DNA Origami nanotechnology and microbiology. Specifically, you will produce DNA Origami nanoparticles and perform qPCR and comparable assays.
Secondary tasks include fluorescence microscopy, cultivating various bacterial strains, in vitro transcription, and bioinformatical analysis.
Bachelor degree in a technical field (Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Informatics, Biotechnology, etc.)
Experience in the tasks described above is a plus, however, all tools and techniques can be learned from the mbiomics experts, too.
A self-starter attitude and inventive problem solver who is comfortable working both independently and within a strong team
You have excellent analytical skills and solve problems in a creative and structured way
